Badr El Amraoui

Is Berber, from Khénifra. He certainly knows that he doesn’t want to live in Morocco any longer. Despite being in the third year of his degree in law, he cannot expect to have a bright future in Morocco without having money. He is the younger of his siblings. One of his sisters study Law as well and the rest of them are married.

In November, he came on board a dinghy. He finally arrived in Gran Canaria after three days in which all that he was able to see were the sea, the sun and his fears. He turned 22, on November 17th, held as a prisoner by the police. Later he was sent to Tenerife where he spent three months that looked like three years in Las Raíces. He made some friends from the Canary Islands that will remain in his heart now that he is in Málaga. Actually, a tricolour Canarian flag stands over his bed reminding him of his Canarian family.
Badr’s dream is to help his mother and family. He would like to start his own family since he loves children. In order to do so, he intends to study and find a job. He longs for doing it in Amsterdam or Belgium, where he would like to settle in the future. After that, maybe, he could return to Tenerife and travel with the mere and humble excuse of finding those who helped him.
